Current Schedule:


  • 8:00am- set up booths**

  • 9am doors open- check out booths

  • 9:30am- Opening Session- "Clarity out of cultural chaos" (Pastor Caleb, sanctuary)

  • 10am- Debates (students) (in children's ministry building)

    • Rebekah vs Genesis

    • Jason vs Zion

  • 11am- Debates (students)

    • Genesis vs Michael

    • Zion vs Jason

  • 12pm- students speeches

    • Abraham

    • Genesis

  • 12:15- Lunch (+debates if participant load requires it)

  • *Lunch will be sold as a fundraiser to support Engage students or people can bring their own.

  • 1pm- main session

    • Case for natural Marriage (Riley)

    • "Is it necessary for the state to have a religious foundation for there to be a sufficient moral consensus?" (Caleb)

  • 2pm- Speech and Debates (Rebekah vs Michael)

  • 3pm- Tabling presentations

  • 3:30pm- Q&A (Caleb)

  • 4pm- Main session & speech/debates rewards- How should Christians Engage with culture? (Caleb)

  • 4:3opm- go home



Booths:

*Various booth groups may give an opportunity to make a short announcement in each main session (depending on number of participants.) Please reach out to our website or email caleb.harrelson@yahoo.com if you would like for your group to attend this event.


  • Note: We are a unashamed Protestant Organization.




Speeches: (5-10 minute speeches)

sample ideas:

  • Should Christians be involved in politics?

  • A defense of natural (Biblical) marriage

  • Should the ten commandments be displayed in public schools?

  • A case for a Christian view of natural law

  • Short Bible devotional

  • Apologetic presentation- why trust in the Bible, Creation evidence, cult evangelism, case for life, etc.

    • Rough outline of speech topic must be submitted 2 days before the event.


Debate:


  • Students MUST prepare BOTH an affirmative and negative case on their chosen debate topic.


Sign up link will be available in a day or two.

  • The next two Tuesdays at 10:30am and 1:30pm Caleb will offer a zoom meeting to help students prep more (available to those in the Worldview Academy (WVA) and those not in the academy for their speeches and debates.
